FLS, Inc. | Folsom Lock & Security
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
FLS, Inc., doing business as Folsom Lock & Security (“FLS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through folsomlocks.com, our forms, appointment requests, phone calls, text messages, website messaging tools, and related customer services. It also covers communications relating to our commercial security divisions, including FLS Doors & Hardware.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. We collect information you give us when requesting a quote, scheduling service, contacting us, or communicating with our team or automated tools. Depending on your interaction, this may include:
- Your name, business or organization, email address, phone number, service address, and billing contact information.
- Your requested service, appointment preferences, property or vehicle details relevant to the work, messages, and photos or documents you choose to provide.
- Quotes, service history, invoices, payment status, customer support records, and communication preferences or consent records. If you make a payment through a payment provider, that provider processes the payment details under its own terms and privacy practices.
- Call audio, voicemail, text or chat content, transcripts, summaries, and related communication details when these features are used, as explained below.
Information collected automatically. Our website and its service providers may collect IP addresses, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, visit times, and interactions with website features. Cookies and similar technologies may associate activity with a browser or device.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; prepare quotes; schedule, dispatch, and perform services; manage customer records and billing; communicate about appointments and work; provide support; document communications; measure website performance; prevent spam, fraud, and unauthorized access; and meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Where required, we obtain consent for optional marketing or other uses. We do not treat a service inquiry as blanket permission for unrelated marketing.
3. AI Receptionist and Call Communications
We use Jobber to support customer requests and business operations, including AI-assisted phone answering. When you reach our AI receptionist, an automated system may answer questions, collect service details, take messages, and assist with appointment requests or scheduling.
Calls handled through these tools may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, and stored. Information processed may include your voice, phone number, contact details, service location, appointment information, and what you say during the conversation. We use these records to respond to your request, coordinate service, review communications, and improve our customer service.
Jobber and its supporting technology providers process information needed to provide these functions. Their processing is subject to our arrangements with them and their applicable terms and privacy practices. Jobber describes its practices at https://www.getjobber.com/privacy-policy/.
We provide recording notices and obtain consent where required by applicable law. This privacy policy does not replace any notice or consent required during a call. If you do not want to use an AI or recorded calling feature, do not provide information through that feature; instead, email info@folsomlocks.com or visit our office to discuss another way to communicate. Automated responses may be incomplete or inaccurate; contact our team to confirm important service or scheduling details.
4. Website Messaging and Callback Requests
Our website includes tools that allow visitors to request contact by text or phone. These tools collect the information you enter, such as your name, phone number, message, and requested service, and may also collect technical information about your interaction. We and the providers operating these tools use that information to route your inquiry, contact you, and maintain communication records. If an automated chat feature is offered, its messages and associated information may also be processed by automated systems.
Do not submit safe combinations, alarm codes, passwords, access credentials, Social Security numbers, full payment card details, or classified or otherwise restricted information through general website forms, chat, text, or AI tools. Ask our team for an appropriate method for sharing sensitive service information.
5. Text Messages and Mobile Information
When you opt in or otherwise authorize texts, Folsom Lock & Security may send messages about your inquiry, quotes, appointment confirmations and reminders, technician or service updates, invoices, and customer support. Some replies may be automated or AI-assisted. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Marketing texts, if offered, require any separate consent required by law; consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
Reply STOP to the sending number to opt out of that text message program. You may receive one confirmation of your opt-out. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact (916) 985-2708 or info@folsomlocks.com. If you receive messages from more than one FLS number or program, contact us for help updating all of your preferences.
We do not sell or share mobile phone information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared for those purposes. We may disclose information to service providers that help deliver and support our communications, such as messaging platforms, carriers, and technical providers, as necessary to operate the service, or as required by law.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Features
We use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags and Google Analytics to understand website visits and usage. Analytics tools may process browser or device identifiers, IP-related technical information, pages visited, referral information, and interactions. Google explains its practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. Google may process device, browser, network, and interaction information for this purpose. Its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/terms.
Appointment requests are supported by Jobber. Website messaging and callback features use external providers, including services delivered through callwidget.co and webtextchat.com. Review displays include Trustindex and reputation widgets delivered through reputationdatabase.com. These providers may receive your IP address, browser details, referring or viewed page information, and information you submit when interacting with their features. Our site also links to third-party services such as Google Maps and Facebook. Their own privacy policies apply when you use their services.
Third-party providers may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information about activity over time and across websites, depending on their services and settings. You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect forms, appointment requests, messaging, or other website features. Browser controls and the Analytics add-on do not necessarily stop all third-party collection.
California Do Not Track disclosures. Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s legacy Do Not Track signal. Global Privacy Control is a separate signal; any legally required treatment of an opt-out preference signal depends on the law applicable to our business and the processing involved. You may contact us about your privacy preferences using the details below.
7. When We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information as reasonably necessary to:
- Employees, technicians, and authorized service partners who need it to respond to requests, perform work, and support customers.
- Providers supporting hosting, website maintenance, forms, analytics, spam prevention, phone and text communications, AI assistance, appointment scheduling, customer records, payments, and professional advice.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the security of our services.
- Parties involved in a proposed or completed business transfer, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements, or other recipients at your direction.
We do not authorize service providers to use text messaging consent or mobile information for their own marketing. Information may be processed in the United States, Canada, or other locations where our providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements.
8. Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining customer and transaction records, supporting warranties, resolving disputes, and meeting legal requirements. Retention varies by information type, business need, provider settings, and applicable obligations. Call recordings, transcripts, and message histories may have different retention periods from invoices and service records.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including limiting access to people and providers with a business need. No website, communication channel, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please notify us if you believe information associated with our services has been compromised.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to update communication preferences. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. Please provide enough information to identify your relationship with us, but do not send sensitive identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate channel.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to a portable copy, to opt out of sale or sharing or targeted advertising, to limit certain uses of sensitive information, and to exercise rights without unlawful discrimination. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to verification.
We respond as required by applicable law. We may retain information needed to complete services, maintain security, meet legal obligations, or address legal claims. Direct requests concerning information we manage through Jobber or another provider to us so we can coordinate the response.
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe option in the message or contact us. Service-related communications may continue when needed to manage an existing request or transaction. For text opt-outs, see Section 5.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our website and communication tools are intended for adults seeking locksmith and security services and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices, services, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
